The mystic Given to me in this life time to realize the full potential of my Calling and have an accelerated journey Home, is David Hoffmeister.
A Course In Miracles was also his pathway, and having studied it for 20 or so years before meeting me, he had far greater vision and awareness of Truth and the Spirit’s Purpose, and could help me fast-track past tempting egoic detours and distractions.
I affectionately nicknamed him ‘the talking mystic’ as his Calling has been to speak in such a way that he helps those he is with to unwind from the trappings of egoic thinking into awareness of Truth/Spirit. The eternal patience that is present is almost palpable, as David listens and responds as if it is the very first time, every time.
His tireless enthusiasm to share the good news has taken him around the world multiple times, to join with thousands of groups in over 30 countries. He offers the same devoted attention to everyone he is called to be with – whether it be one person or a conference of 500 people.
All who know David will agree on the consistency they encounter in him. If you listen to his teachings from the early 1990’s or a recording from this week, the message is the same. David’s message is consistent because it comes from a consistent Source. His joy is consistent because it too, comes from a consistent Source. It is not personal. It is of God.
I am eternally grateful for the gift of this devoted mystic who is uncompromising when it comes to freedom from the ego, and for the generosity and gentleness that pours from his heart.
A writing by David on mysticism
A Life of Mysticism: A Life of Joy!
The life of Mysticism is one of devotion and reverence to God and therefore to all. It is a discipline of mind, of training the mind to hear and follow only the Voice for God. The goals are everlasting peace of mind and the humor, gentleness, happiness, freedom, and joy that flow from such a state of mind.
The life of Mysticism is as spontaneous and playful as it is serene and tranquil. Alive and energized by the living moment, the need for rituals and rules and structure falls away from the mind. Mysticism learns mastery through love and compassion and kindness, and every day is like a painting full of opportunities to extend the Love of God. (Read more here)
