About Kirsten

Kirsten Buxton is a modern-day mystic, spiritual teacher, and author who became devoted to awakening after a revelatory experience of such intense love she realized nothing else mattered.

Through a devotional practice of prayer, meditation, following guidance, and applying the profound teachings of A Course in Miracles, she experienced a merge with the Spirit within her mind. Having walked ‘through the darkness to the light’ Kirsten exudes a profound wisdom and humility that touches the heart and lifts the spirit.

Since 2006, Kirsten has traveled throughout the world upon invitation, deepening in her own healing journey and practice of forgiveness, while holding gatherings and retreats. Her life has become a demonstration of total trust in the Spirit. The clarity and simplicity shared through her teachings are an invitation to true freedom; a life of purpose. Being in her presence is a reminder of the peace and love of God that is with us always.

Kirsten’s life is an ebb and flow of inspiring collaborations, teaching phases, and inward mystical phases. She has lived in an ACIM-based spiritual community since meeting David Hoffmeister in 2004, and is a co-founder of the Living Miracles spiritual community. Her unshakable trust and consistent awareness of God as provider (Divine Providence), and the Spirit as Guide is the gift she offers to everyone she meets.

Kirsten’s Gatherings and Retreats

Kirsten’s gatherings are an invitation to directly experience the Peace of God within, as well as explore how to practically apply the non-dualistic principles found in A Course in Miracles in daily life.

Kirsten’s gentle presence allows for an exploration of the most relevant topics on the heart as an inroads to self inquiry and deepening relationship / identification with our Source, our Inner Guide.

Her shorter gatherings are interactive, and are primarily in the form of spiritual discourse (satsang) where questions are welcome. She gives a clear metaphysical framework to clarify the difference between Truth and illusions.
Longer retreats involve an experiential / workshop component including deepening in direct communication and relationship with the “Still small Voice within”, the Voice for God – through Inner listening, journal writing (inner dialogue involving channeled writing), heart-opening music, meditations, silence, and metaphysical films.

New Book: I Married a Mystic

imam-finalIn the Spring of 2017, Kirsten’s much awaited book, I Married a Mystic was published. The book is a how-to guide for awakening—an intimate account of her journey of transformation and radical self-inquiry between the years 2004–2007. Kirsten candidly exposes her fears, projections, and private thoughts whilst on an epic adventure with tirelessly joyful mystic David Hoffmeister.

Excerpt, Chapter One:

I fell to my knees and cried out for help. I’d been knocked unconscious twice within eighteen months, and both “accidents” had happened just as I’d had the thought, “I don’t want to be here.” I knew that if I didn’t give my life over completely, I was going to kill myself. Literally.

What happened next changed my life completely. I had a direct experience of God’s Love that is almost impossible to convey…
